Thirst for Fulfillment
As a Hummingbird is drawn to the nectar off a flower, I want to be drawn to you. This cool crisp Spring morning I gaze at your beauty. I am awe struck by your wonder and majesty, meditating on your Word about Living Water that washes over me with purity and righteousness. I am mesmerized and consumed by your presence as I drink in deep from the waters that overflow my spirit. May I thirst for more of you when the world tries to satisfy the cravings only you can fulfill. The longings and the desires of my soul can only find rest when it reaches deep into the depths of your love. Engulf me in your light and glory as I worship you at your feet, humbly on my face in reverence and awe. In fear and trembling may I drink in your Living Water. Satisfy my soul as I drink in the sweetness of your love.

STILL
The world seems dark and insecure and afraid, but God, who created the world is still in and over the world and in control. We must look beyond the bad news the evil, the senseless, and look to the One who created and Still reigns over all. The sun still comes up and shines brightly, the birds flutter in the wind. The trees still sway to the music in the summer breeze. There is still beauty around, still peace, still presence here. Look around, there is victory on the horizon. We don't have to be afraid but be faithful til the finish. He is still God. Just be still and know that He is God.
Still.

Light Overcomes the Darkness
![]() |
| Morning Light - Sanctuary Hill |
Lightness can illuminate the darkness.
The darkness can be so black, you wonder
if you will ever see the light of day. The
Light is there, He is always there, but our eyes are shielded by the darkness of deception, disappointment, loss, and depression.
Darkness blinds. Darkness binds grief and pain to a cavern of lostness. Darkness attaches itself to depression which finds it way to a path of heaviness and hopelessness weighted down in loneliness. Lying down in the lies of aloneness, Feelings of despair, distorted thoughts, untruths that weave in distress, discouragement, feeling defenseless.
The light of day, the Light of hope dissipates the darkness which despises the light. Darkness avoids the glimmer of light but can't flee the brightness of the Son. Darkness is not the Creator but was dispelled when God said "Let there be light" and there was light. Genesis 1:2.Darkness has to flee. Shadows reveal there is hope through illuminating what the darkness tries to hide and cover.
Brilliant light strips the blindness of the path our eyes are unable to see and could not find. It was a colorless place devoid of any hope, The Truth uncovers what is hidden and reflects a horizon of hope that was hindered and harassed through disillusionment. The burdens are lifted the Light subdues the heaviness and harnesses in belief and anticipation, hope.
The Light dispels the darkness and the shifting shadows of deception. The Light fulfills what has been depleted.
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.(John 1:5 NAS) He is the Light. Jesus is the Light. In Him was Life, and that Life was the light of men. (John 1:4)
Light always overcomes the darkness.

Where is His Word?
Where is His Word?
Is it sitting on the shelf, sitting in the backseat of your car? Where is it? Open in front of you, yet unable to see what He is saying. Reading but not retaining, Hearing but not listening. The answers to life are here, waiting to be revealed to unlock the map of your journey so you may walk His way, hear His voice but only when you are still and quiet. Searching and seeking for more will He reveal, revamp and restore. Where is His Word for you? Remove it from the shelf, the backseat, He longs to guide you to understanding, wisdom, and the knowledge of Life. Find it, reach for it, read and listen. Life is abundant, more than the mundane. Seek and you will find.
